The Den of Sin Club – With Old Ellicott City almost permanently flooded out, the Korean Yakuza (the Chong-Pak-Pa) took over the area to include the major warehouse nearby to create a tiny Venice-like community, occupying and refurbishing the upper floors of flooded buildings. The warehouse HQ, now called the Den of Sin has been transformed into a casino\club\brothel office (The nearby refurbished flood zone providing extra private rooms). The DC based Yakuza Branch, Mizugumo-rengo (Water-Spider League) also operate out of the upper office floors and it was their administration of the club that help to give its name. The main dance floors (1st & 2nd Floors) features several bars, multiple dancer platforms and swings, surrounded by AR screens. Music genre and dancer costumes depends on the evening’s theme, and the regular rotation pulls a diverse crowd.
The basement (Floors -1 & -2) features traditional gambling facilities, but the main draw for most is betting on the nearby SpiderDome Arena, a large metal bridge frame outfitted with riggable floor platforms, gun emplacements and other traps over hanging a floodzone, where teams compete in mock combat. Several civilians live and work out of the surrounding buildings collecting scraps, fishing and making repairs after battles. They have been drawn into conflicts if sufficiently convinced, but will generally not fight.
The Upper floors (5th & 6th) are generally off-limits as they house the administrative offices, a joint break area, the Club’s cyberspace infrastructure.
The VIP section (Floors 3 & 4) features video glass enclosed privacy booths overlooking the main dance floor, and a central entertainment space for exotic dance performances. The Club features both traditional Geisha for the traditionally inclined and more modern “Juicy Girls” for those looking for female party companionship. Additional Services beyond companionship would be negotiated with the Hostess to make use of the private rooms or the flood zone “glass house” suites. The available roster includes a diverse selection of escorts to include a number fitted with Bunraku-tech for those with more specific requirements. A number of celebrity Bunraku-Performers pass through on tour as well.
